TEXT: Romans 6:1-23.
What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein? Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into JesusChrist were baptized into his death? Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection: Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin. For he that is dead is freed from sin. Now if we be dead with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with him: Knowing that Christ being raised from the dead dieth no more; death hath no more dominion over him. For in that he died, he died unto sin once: but in that he liveth, he liveth unto God. Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord. Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof. Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God. For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace. What then? shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace? God forbid. Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness? But God be thanked, that ye were the servants of sin, but ye have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine which was delivered you. Being then made free from sin, ye became the servants of righteousness. I speak after the manner of men because of the infirmity of your flesh: for as ye have yielded your members servants to righteousness unto holiness. For when ye were the servants of sin, ye were free from righteousness. What fruit had ye then in those things whereof ye are now ashamed? for the end of those things is death. But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life. For the wages of sin is death: but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
I have, times without number, told you the primary purpose of holding the Bible Class twice every week throughout the year. It has equipped you with the recondite wisdom of God with which you can overcome the craftiness and the worldly knowledge of the so-called wise men of the world; and adorn you to withstand the wiles of Satan. If you are versed with the words of God, you will not go astray from the path of righteousness. Adhere strictly to the pamphlet: "First Step to God."
Romans 6:23:-For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Brethren, have you heard that passage? That is why you are always advised not to commit sin. The publication "First Step to God" represents what should be regarded as the rules and conditions of service for any good follower of Christ. That little pamphlet lists everything that is considered sinful in this New Kingdom of God, the violation of any of them leads you to the way of death. What is sacrosanct in our belief is that if any person sins, he will die because the wages of sin is death. You can fast for one year, or pray 12 times a day, or go on ministry work to 100 stations, it is a truism that if you sin, you have to die.
Sin Is The Cause, And Death Is The Effect Of Sin
Nothing in this world can kill you. A tree, water, the hazards of weather and the elements cannot kill you. Neither gun, fire, sword, hatchet, bow and arrow, spear, club or any other dangerous weapon can kill you. It is only sin which you persist in that can kill you.
The sin you commit day and night is the cause of death. That is to say, sin is the "cause", and death is the "effect" of sin, but your trouble is that you emphasize the effect of a matter instead of your considering the cause of the matter first. When you are sick, you begin to take tablets or injections or drink some compound concocted by herbalist in order to cure your sickness without first diagnosing the cause of the sickness. The medicine you take will not serve any useful purpose without any diagnoses. The causes of your sickness are fornication, telling lies, stealing, exasperation or any other vice. That is why James 5:14-16 was written for your guidance.
Sin Leads To Sickness
James 5:14-16:-
Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord: And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him. Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.
It is the sin you commit that brings upon you sickness and death. That is why you are told to confess your sins to one another and also pray for one another. If, therefore, somebody is sick, tell him to confess his sins and repent, then you pray for him pleading with Father to forgive him. The Father will forgive him and his sickness and difficulties will be cured and solved. Do not begin to find names for this sickness, that he is sick of jaundice or fever, or abscess or any other disease. If you do, you are rather following after the effect and not after the cause. Medical doctors and scientists, necromancers and herbalists are ignorant of this important fact. They are always after the effect but here we are always after the cause and not the effect of the matter.
Anger And Malice Are Instrumental To Sickness
This explains why, whenever you come to me, I ask you if you are angry. This is so because when you are angry, and when you bear malice towards any person, you become sick and have many problems. So when you come I ask you if you are annoyed.If you tell lies, the prayer I offer will not be beneficial to you, and you will return as you came with the sickness; and because you have told lies before me you return with double punishment. This explains why many complain that their illnesses become worse after the Father had offered prayers on their behalf. That is what they deserve.
Go To God First In Penitence With Humility, And Not With Requests
By right, whenever you come here you should not request anything, but should penitently ask God for forgiveness of your sins, because the moment you confess your sins, all your troubles, problems and difficulties are written off. You have borne grudge against somebody, you have committed fornication and adultery, you have told lies, you have been angry, you have taken some drugs or concoctions and yet you come requesting for prayers, of what use is that prayer to you? Whereas the cause of your trouble is sin. It is for this reason that I have come to admonish you to forsake sin and vices. From January to December of every year, I continue to beat this point into your mind but you persistently refuse to heed my advice. There is no other cause of your sickness, or poverty and wretchedness, or death, or tribulations and afflictions but sin. It is because you sin that death has domination over you. When you sin, you are at the mercy of death. It can snatch you at any time. It has every right to slap you or spit on you at any time.
The Law Is No Respecter Of Persons
For instance, if any person contravenes the traffic regulations and by so doing causes an accident, the traffic policemen have the right to allow the law to take its course against the culprit no matter his station in the society; be he a judge, or governor or doctor. The police has the right to reprimand or damn him, or take any course of action against such a fellow until he begins to plead for pardon and can even grease the palms of the policemen in order to secure his freedom. No person can question the action of the policemen because the person has offended against the law. He is guilty.
In the same way, if your child steals another person's property, he is guilty of an offense of theft and if he is arrested by the police, even if you, as the father, are a judge, there is nothing you can do. He is under the law, the law has to take its course against him. As a judge, you will not be able to do anything to help him rather you will regard him as a disgrace to the family. In fact, you will be very angry against this son for committing the crime.
In the same way also, you have a very beautiful wife whom you left at home, and on your return from work you find her in bed with the chief judge of the State or County, have you not got the boldness to slay him because he is guilty before the law he is expected to protect? You are at liberty to treat him as you like because he has fallen into your trap. He will not even have the face to defend himself. He will be a disgrace to his profession.
You have never stopped for a moment to ask yourself why death should be so impudent to kill such high ranking men like the judge, the magistrate, the governor, the pope, the king, the president, the prime minister and others. This is so because of their sins. When you sin you definitely give death the audacity to kill you because the wages of sin is death. Death is like a police officer who has to arrest you once it is reported to him that you have committed a crime. That is why death has the right to snatch any person at any time.
Look at the courts everywhere and all policemen and other law enforcement officers, if you do not commit any crime, the police will never take you to the court, they will not arrest you. You will move about without fearing anything but when you commit any crime, you will even fear making appearance outside, because if they arrest you they will never let you go.
All your activities of singing, dancing going on ministry work, building Bethels are very good by themselves. But if you do not refrain from sin, these activities will not save you. All your efforts in furnishing and equipping this assembly hall are appreciated by many. But if you do not refrain from sin, and turn away from evil, you have no gain whatsoever.
John 8:34-35:-Jesus answered them, Verily, Verily I say unto you, Whosoever committeth sin is the servant of sin. And the servant abideth not in the house for ever: but the Son abideth ever.
Brethren have you heard that? Why should death be so audacious as to kill you. Are you its slave or servant?Upon your high position and standing in the society, it takes you in a matter of seconds and you follow it without any argument. You may be a judge, or a king or a professor. It beckons you, and you follow it without questions. You may be a lawyer pleading your case in the court and suddenly it comes and snatches you away and you follow it without any resistance. You may be a millionaire just coming out of your luxurious car and it calls you. In spite of your wealth, your position in the society, your influence, you have to follow it. Why? Your children, are shouting on you not to follow it. Your friends try to rescue you, yet you will not listen to them, you will follow on like a sheep without any resistance. Consider how numerous we are here, but cannot resist it at all. It is able to do this because of your sinful ways. All those who commit sins are worthy of death.
No Charm Can Protect You From Death
All your efforts to adorn yourselves with protective charms and talisman and magical signs capable of warding off evil and death, or surround yourself or your house with fetishes and concoctions and juju are useless, because none of these can prevent you from death. Can these things withstand death, it is absolute foolishness on your part to get yourself involved in these ways; because when your record is checked and it is discovered that you have stolen or fornicated, or done any other thing worthy of death; you are therefore snatched away by death. Is it not the reason why some juju doctors complain that upon the charms and concoctions they have in the house, their children are still dying? Are they not foolish to think that a piece of dead wood can save them, whereas they claim that their charms and concoctions can slap you, or push you forward and backward? This explains why I focus my attention on reminding you to flee from sinning so that you may be able to run away from death.
Read Revelation 6:8:-And I looked, and behold a pale horse:and his name that sat on him was Death,and Hell followed with him. And power was given unto them over the fourth part of the earth, to kill with sword, and with hunger, and with death, and with beasts of the earth.
Notice that death and Hades have been empowered and authorized to use sword and hunger and the beasts of the earth to destroy the world. There is nothing that happens which is not known to God, and there is nothing he is not aware of. When you sin, you allege that you are reported, no person reports you, God knows everything. You have been advised to forsake sin but you still continue to sin. Do you not hear that death is empowered and Hades is authorized to kill evil ones with the sword, famine and hunger and with wild beasts? Brethren, why should beasts kill man, why should man be killed by thunder or by a tree, or by a storm, or by a sword? I always advise you, beg and plead with you to forsake sin; not to steal, or fornicate, or tell lies, or indulge in charms and concoctions. It is your person that I want. If you indulge in sin you become susceptible to sickness, or poverty or death or persecution. When you sin, you are under the bondage of death, and it can take you away, even now that you are standing with me I will not be able to rescue you; because the wages of sin is death. If you are snatched away by death, who is to blame? What can I do to you in such a situation? I have been pleading with you to forsake all manners of sin, but you refuse to abide by my instruction. Afterwards you allege that you are being reported. No person reports you. When you steal, death which is an agent of God has seen you, and so, as you steal before me, it will arrest you and impose the final penalty on you, without having anybody to plead for your release. Whatever sin you commit is not hidden in the sight of God; and so death or sickness or poverty will surely exact its penalty from you. At such a confrontation, what do you think I can say or do, when these agents come here to report you, for committing these vices?
It is always good to obey instructions and put them into practice than to believe inadvertently that since the Holy Father is with you, you can commit all types of sins and go scot-free, because He will even be there to rescue you. When you steal and fornicate, people see what you do and readily report or confront you when they ask you, if that is what you are taught in Brotherhood. Sometimes you fornicate with somebody's wife. Will the husband or his relation not take an action against you, or at least, form an opinion about you? When you sin, you condemn yourself before people, and before God Himself. That is why I always caution you to refrain from all manners of sin.
Anytime you commit sin, the worldly people will testify that you are not so taught by the Leader, because they know that the Leader does not sin and does not like any one that sins. This is the reason, when you commit an offense against the law the owner and you are arraigned before a magistrate, you will not have leniency but maximum judgement against you because he knows that as a Brotherhood you should not have committed that offense. Now if a Brotherhood member is taken to court for theft, the Magistrate will discharge and acquit him on the grounds of fear, that if the offender is jailed he, the magistrate, will also be jailed spiritually. But now the Father has given them the authority to jail all offenders.
1st Corinthians 15:51-56:-Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump:for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.
For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory. O death where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory? The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law.
Have you heard what is read to you? What is the sting of death? The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is law. Is any other thing mentioned there? Is witchcraft or mermaid or concoction mentioned? You have heard what Moses did and also what Peter did. (John 18:10/Matt 26:52) Our Lord Jesus Christ told Peter to put back his sword into its sheath, for any person who takes the sword dies by it. What about Moses,(Ex 2:12) did he not commit murder before he died? He was a soldier and so was involved in killing a lot of people. Whatever you are if you kill you will surely be killed. Do what you may, but if you cause the death of a human being, you will also die because he who takes the sword must die by the sword; whoever takes the gun must die by the gun and so with the bow or club or stave; whatever judgement you give to somebody, the same will be measured unto you. Why are you afraid of death? Why do you not refrain completely from sin? No matter its gravity, run away from sin because if you commit it, you must surely be penalized. If you say you are the disciple of David, did David not suffer untold punishment? If you know the suffering of David because of his sins would you bear it? At one time he was so notorious and infamous that he was declared a wanted person, and was dethroned as a result of his criminality.
Remember before the marriage contracted between David and the daughter of Saul was consummated, David had to give Saul 300 human heads. David went to war and brought 300 human heads. What was this for? Remember also that when David caused Uriah the Hittite to die at war and he took his wife unto himself as wife, Prophet Nathan (2 Sam 12:1-15) was sent by God to tell him what he had done, and the punishment that awaited him. Have you not read about these stories of David? Why was David's son Amnon intimate with his sister Tamar? Why did his son, Absalom invite his brother Amnon to accompany him to a party and at the party caused his brother to be killed? (2 Sam 13:1-39) Observe that David was the cause of what happened in his house. When you find yourself in such a situation you complain that the situation is caused by witchcraft or mermaid or any other thing. The two stories are clear enough to let you know the effect of sin on any human being. This is the way through which you are visited with God's punishment, and sometimes, you suffer to such an extent that you look for death, yet you are not capable of refraining from sin. What do you think God Himself is? Is He not Human? Is God a tree or an animal? Has He not created man in His own image and likeness?
What we should know is that sin cannot help us at all. Whenever you sin no matter how light it is, you have to be penalized. No matter the circumstance, do not commit sin. Even if somebody wants to cut off your head, do not sin. Righteousness should always be our watchword; rather than for us to commit sin and then come begging before God. From today you know that the wages of sin is death. If you do not want death; will you ever commit sin? Since you know that when you sin you will receive punishment, and if you do not want punishment, will you sin? But you love suffering and punishment.
You are looking for a child so that even if you die he takes over your inheritance. Even if you die as a result of your sins, when you begin to suffer and death does not come to you, you begin to murmur against God. You want money, and to be a rich man, so you steal. Because of this crime, you are penalized. Instead of blaming yourself, you blame and murmur against God. There is nothing which has induced you to commit sin than to look for carnal things. When you Read 1st Timothy 6:9-10 you will discover that your only problem is that you all look for wealth, you lust after the things of this world. You will prefer to have one of your hands cut off provided you marry the man of your choice; you would prefer to suffer anything for reason of getting money, and console yourself that even if you die the money will be used in giving you a befitting burial. I am saying all these to your shame.
1st Timothy 6: 9-10:-But they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition. For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.
Why do you make the false allegation that your parents are instrumental for your sinful behavior? Why do you lie against the government, that the Government compels you to commit sin? Is it true that the Government compels you to do what is against your will? Why have you alleged that your wife induced you or that your wife has misled you. Can your wife mislead you? It is your lust which has misled you. When you complain that somebody has deceived you under the pretence of doubling your money, and has duped you, were you not the person looking for much money? You invited a money-doubler to double and triple your money because you have been told; if you give N1000.00, you will be given N3000.00. Since you lust after money, you gave N1000.00 and the person escaped with it. You are responsible for this, you should not blame anybody.
Upon all my pleading with you to forsake sin, who has adhered to this pleading? I give you the word of God, I heal your sickness, I bless you and anoint you with oil but in spite of these, you have refused to forsake sins. I speak to you hours and hours on end; and in teaching, admonishing, exhorting and advising you, shed tears for your unbelief. But since you do not want to forsake sin there is nothing I can do. Nobody, not even government, not your parents, not your friends are responsible for your ill-luck, nor your affliction, but your lust for carnal things. You are desirous to become a wealthy man, a prominent person in the society; and so you join the gang of highway robbers and go all out, prepared for any eventualities. You will be equipped with the sword, gun and other dangerous weapons; you are prepared to die provided you steal the money you are looking for. It is lusting after the things of this world that has been your greatest handicap. If you had lived a life of contentment, you would not have had any problem. If you were contented with one shirt, one pair of shorts, one gown, one pair of shoes you would not have had any problem, but you want to be rich. When you have a child, you pray God to give you three more children, money, houses, aeroplane, ocean steamer until these things constitute a heavy burden to you, and you begin to cry and lament to God. Did He advise you to look for all these things? There is an adage which says that whatever is delicious in the mouth of a sick person that will he eat to quicken the death. You wanted a wife and now you have a wife. You were looking for a husband, now you have a husband. Why do you complain about your wife or husband? Did your father or mother or government or friend advise you to marry? Was it not your lustful desire that caused that?
Romans 6: 16:-Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are, to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?
Now that you have given up yourself to steal and prostitute about, so that you can have money, do you realize that such actions lead you to death? Do you want to tell me that you are not aware that carnal desires will lead you to death? When you deceive, or steal or cheat or indulge in concoctions, or tell lies, do you not know that these actions lead you to death? What about the person who does not steal or tell lies or deceive or cheat or fornicate; refraining from all vices and resigning his life to God? Does he not know that he is leading to eternal life? Why did our Lord Jesus Christ live for only 33 years? As the Son of man, Son of God, and God Himself, why was it so possible for people to get Him so easily without any resistance?
It shows that God is no respecter of persons. It was because of our sins that our Lord died because he promised that He would carry our sins, and that He should be killed for our sake. You remember that the cup of the sins of the whole world,the cup of woe, was given to Him to drink. Immediately He drank it, God departed from Him and He became susceptible to death. He was despised by the Jews who subjected him to all sorts of sufferings, to the extent of slapping Him, spitting on Him and cursing Him. Since He drank the cup of sins of the world He become a sinner.
Investigate properly, you will find that Brotherhood members die because the spirit of God had left them since the time they committed fornication. When you begin to take treatment of any type, taking tablets, or injection or undergoing "D & C" or surgical operation, you defile the body and so the Spirit of God departs from you.If Christ had not surrendered His Spirit He would not have died. That was why He said, "Father into thy hands I commend my spirit, " (Luke 23:46) and immediately, He gave up the ghost. He died before the death of the other two persons crucified with Him. It was an act of God that He died at that time because if the soldiers observed that He did not give up the ghost, His limbs would have been broken. This would have meant that on his resurrection He would be a deformed spirit. But God did not want it that way, so He died before the other two.
No matter how you are beloved by God, do not commit any sin, because when you commit any sin He will forsake you. You have witnessed what happened here when you sin. I have nothing to do with any sin. Even if someone smears feces and urine on me, I shall not quarrel with him. I shall not revenge. I shall rather pray for him, feed him and wish him peace, because I know what it is to refrain from all manners of sin. I do not want to be sick; I do not want to be poor. I am forward ever, backward never, since I am striving for eternal life. Even if you want to steal some of my property I shall ask you to collect all.
What will the community use in judging me? Since I am not under their law; I have not violated any of their laws. How can the people condemn me? What will the Government use as evidence to judge me? I do not violate the laws and regulations of Government. If I want to build I shall first have my site and building plans approved by the authorities. I always walk according to the laws of Government. On what ground will the small children judge me? I do not beat them. I do not torture them. I do not abuse or curse them.I do not discriminate against them because they are children. But I always call them brother or sister. On what basis will they report me? What about you, they have already reported you to the Lord, because you have flogged them, you have abused them, you have discriminated against them. But I do not cause them to be segregated. I do not know why I should call them children. I treat every person in the same way because I do not want to go to the place you like. I want to remain in the Kingdom of God and live eternally. What will women use in judgement against me? I do not hate them, I do not create distinction between them and other people. I have jealously maintained the glory that was women's and even increased it in this kingdom.I have no trouble with women; and there is no difference between men and women. I treat them both alike. In your own case you cane them, beat them with sticks, hold them by the neck, abuse and curse them; send them away and tell them to go with their bad children as if they alone are responsible for the badness of their children. All bad children belong to the mother and good ones belong to the father. Under such a situation, they lament to God and their tears go before God and stand in judgement against you, and immediately, the angels are assigned to arrest you. You have a case to answer but I have no case to answer. I know all these things are forbidden that is why I do not go there; I only stand for the truth which leads man to everlasting life; but you are obedient to what leads you to eternal damnation which is death. I have tried all my best to get you to refrain from further commission of sins, but you continue to shake your head, to indicate that you are not capable of refraining from sins. The alternative is to abandon you to the world you prefer to live in.
Have I ever imputed sins against any person, whether man or woman? Whatever you do, I say, "It is good, " because once I impute sins on any person, you are for eternal destruction. Since I want eternal life I always count whatever you do as good.
Upon all my teachings you are still committing sins. Have I ever said, "you have committed an offense?" The moment I do that, you are already judged; and you will not have any defense for yourselves. Upon the number of people we have in this fold, when did I ever suspend any member? Can you remember the last time a member was dismissed or disfellowshipped or excommunicated? When you steal, I embrace you and give you tea. I advise you not to fornicate, but you continue to fornicate, and I embrace you. We can even sleep together that day. Have I ever imputed sins for any person? "No, " because I want to remain free for eternity in the Kingdom of God.
Where do you think a person who imputes sin on another is going to? When you judge others, where do you think you are going to? Have you ever known of any person in this world who all the men and elements of the universe wage war against but he does not revenge? He has no weapons to fight against them, but he overcomes all his accusers. Members of secret societies, cultural clubs and groups, all church denominations, the whites and the blacks, dwellers in the forests and seas, all have declared war against him but he is victorious over them. If you tell them that the Holy Father does not use anything at all apart from the word of God, the whole world will tell you, that you do not know him and that you are deceiving them. Before they came into open conflict, they had already discovered that there was nothing they could do in the Spiritual World. Before most of them put up physical appearance they had already embarked on full scale investigation about the Brotherhood, and the Sole Spiritual Head. Brother Assasu Inyang-Ibom and Dr. Aggarwal of India had, for a long time been investigating Brotherhood and its Leader. They had embarked on a war of destruction of the Leader and had failed. Since the world has failed in its war against the father, it has finally resorted to calling him Beelzebub, witchcraft, associated with mermaid. Their action, therefore, tantamounts to calling a dog a bad name to hang it. Do you think that Dr.Aggarwal only came to thank the Father? He came here to continue his spiritual warfare with the Father. If you contend that he did not come for war, how is it that Brotherhood does not make and sell talisman and rings but he brought these things so that the people would say that the Leader's power came from the rings and talisman from India? This was to make the world feel that the power of the Leader is linked with India. When he came, I knew his intention but I received him and embraced him and permitted him to sell his rings and talisman. The same thing happened in the case of Brother Assasu Inyang-Ibom. When he had fought a spiritual war with the Father and failed, he came to show himself as a witness. I told him, I am Olumba Olumba Obu but he was going about preaching that I am Christ. I preached to him quoting various passages from the scripture for him, but he insisted that he was going to tell the whole world that the Father had sent him to publish that to the world. I told him he cannot speak on the platform of Brotherhood. He said he was going to witness on the platform of his society - ESOM, and not as a Brotherhood member. What was his intention in doing this? Are you aware that his sole intention of telling the people that the Leader is Christ, was to incite the people to take up arms against me? He had fought in the spirit world without success and so he felt he would place it before the whole world to induce them to join him in the physical war, in order to fulfill his intention.
In his first appearance, he came as a spy. He thought his proclamation would scatter the members but before he came, the faith of many members was implicitly established, and those who had no faith and thought he was blaspheming by calling a human being Christ, had since withdrawn. His real intention was to win the sympathies of those like him, to join him in this physical war, since he had failed disastrously in the spiritual. Up till today both of them are still fighting against me and Brotherhood. Most of the members of the secret societies come here to scatter the members of the Brotherhood of the Cross and Star, but none of them has been able to scatter the flock. As soon as they come, I know their intention, yet I always receive, embrace and care for them. I have never resisted any of them, because I want eternal life.
No person in the world would believe that the Leader is a commoner, just as an ordinary human being. The secret of his power is love. If you were to abide in this love you would have realized this kingdom. It is not possible to find me at any place you may like to look for me. It is only in love that you can see me. In your own case you could be found in the premises of prostitutes, in every parlor (Bar) and at every corner. Brethren, you will notice that many people of all walks of life, individually and severally, have at one time or the other waged a secret war against Brotherhood. A lot of them are now testifying in Brotherhood; and many more testimonies of that type are still coming. It is my aim to fortify you and to get you adorned and well balanced; but you want to continue to live in the world of fear. You cast aspersion upon witchcraft, mermaid and demon but I tell you that these things do not exist. They are imaginary.
Ephesians 6: 11-18:-Put on the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore take unto you the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. And take the helmet of salvation, and sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints.
Do you think that even here in Brotherhood, the members who believe that it is only love that is used to accomplish everything in Brotherhood do not number up to 50%? You doubt the power in Brotherhood, that is why you want to know why the Leader does not release the power to every member because we are all human beings in the world, and at night Satan will come with its evil machinations. There is no other power except that which you enslave yourself to. Right from now you have to tell the truth. Be not fastidious, do not be angry. In short, refrain completely from sin. Those who sin are slaves to sin and have no association with me. All I teach is that you should tell the truth, be merciful, be patient, be benevolent, be not malicious, do not quarrel with or abuse others. Always do what is good in the eyes of God. You should emulate me because my qualities are peace, love, joy, truth, meekness, righteousness and other godly virtues.
Do you really know that the wages of sin is death? Is there any wisdom if you really know what is sinful but you deliberately commit it, in spite of the fact that you still want eternal life? If you are angry, you are worthy of death. If you hate, you are worthy of death. No pleading is accepted; because you have entered the path of iniquity and its end is death. Since I want everlasting life, I do not go to the path of wickedness. You sometimes say that the Leader is annoyed. This is not true because if I am angry I really want to die. I am therefore, always joyous and happy. It was on 14th February 1942 that I declared, that whoever was capable of making me exasperated, would be given a large amount of money. Since then, no matter what people do I am not annoyed even if you want to cut my throat, because I know that if I am angry I am worthy of death. Take everything from me but give me Jesus Christ. No matter what people say about me, that I am Beelzebub, that I drink blood, that I am caught in a net, that I kill or steal, I cannot be exasperated because I know who is speaking, I know the world, and that you are not serious. I know that you will be here tomorrow and so I do not bother myself. I know that it is a strategy you employ to incite and instigate the people for an insurrection, but I do not give you the opportunity.
A bush rat asked a man who used a palm fruit to set his trap on the ground whether palm fruits are usually ripe on the ground? What about you? You are always angry, you quarrel, you bark, you slap, hush at people, beat them with stick. Since your membership in Brotherhood, when did you see me angry, when did you see me quarreling with somebody? You are all my witnesses. When was I fastidious, when did I suspend any person? When did I dismiss any person? I am a Teacher and Supernatural Professor; and so I know how to handle you; because I want to lead you in the path of truth. When I want to tame or break you in I have my own methodology. If one method is not suitable for reforming you, I change my gear and use a different method, until I make out of you, what I actually want. All my exhortations are towards eternal life.
Brethren, what is the gain in telling lies? Go home, sleep over this question, ponder over it, and then you will find out an answer. Whenever you tell lies, you have sinned and the wages of sin is death. What is your gain in tarnishing the reputation of your fellow man or assassinating his character or defaming his name?
II Timothy 3: 13:-But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived.
That passage reveals to you the gain you have from telling lies, fornicating, stealing or committing any sin. The article published in the June issue of the Drum Magazine "who will carry the Cross" has captured the attention of the whole world. People now ask "if this man is still going on with this Brotherhood why should we not continue? Who will get it at nought? Nobody. It has come to stay. No other thing exists but Brotherhood. It is the only steady and stable organization. Governments after governments are crumbling but Brotherhood continues to grow from strength to strength. From 1960 till now the Government of this country has changed hands five times; another change is forth-coming in 1983; but Brotherhood is unchangeable, its spread and development are beyond description.
What is your gain in deceiving people? If you receive by false pretenses, N1,000,000 from a person, he also will collect N2,000,000 from you, what is your gain? If you know that when you deceive someone, another person will also deceive you, is there any wisdom in deceiving any person? Pray as you like, fast as much as you may, do not forget that a deceiver must be deceived. There is no luck in deceit. These things are what I have already proved like Mathematics. The knowledge is inborn in me. I do not read from a book; I knew this fact when I was not yet five years old. There is no gain in stealing or hating; rather they work evil for you. When you deceive, you cannot escape being deceived. The more you deceive, the greater the incidence for others to deceive you. It will not stop, your records will be spoilt.
Brotherhood will go very far by 1999, at that time you will actually realize yourself that the foundation of Brotherhood is sure. This explains the reason why people continue to research into it; to find the origin. They will ever ask the question: "How did Brotherhood come about?" Brotherhood has a sound foundation. Right now, if you are a rogue, or a fornicator or a committer of any vice, you are floating, you are like a reed shaken by the wind. Nobody will advise you not to steal because your action clearly shows that you are obstinate in the face of all facts. Brotherhood has a very solid and sound foundation. It is love, truth, patience, mercy, humility, righteousness and all godly virtues. It is like a city set on a hill and cannot be hid. No other thing can be found in it.
It is not an easy thing for anything to be built on the solid foundation on which such a thing has never been built since the beginning of the world. You have been lying from your youth and you continue. You tell lies by telling people that you know the Leader, when even your background is doubtful. But notice that in the Brotherhood, everything said or done is verifiable, because it is nothing but the truth. Since I started I have no connection with any person. I have no friend because I have come for a purpose. I do not associate with any person or groups of people. I do not belong to any group. I do not go to church. I do not go to mourning houses or to hospital. I am here as somebody on business. I have come to do something. I do not come to play. All that you do are deceit, roguery, hatred and swindling. I have proved these but I bring love which leads to eternal life. I am calling you to drink the water of life, but have you accepted to drink the water? This solid foundation is to enable you live eternally. All the wealth are for the truthful ones. If you are truthful, you will not be poor, you will not be sick, you may not have any difficulties. All these good things are set aside for the children of truth, they are not for demons. Why do you feed a rogue? Do you want him to shoot you down with a gun? What will an evil person do for you, but evil? Is there any sense in associating with an evil person? He is like a dog, after feeding him, he bites and tears at you. If you have one good, truthful person, he will save the whole world. What good purpose does it serve, if you give scholarship to a rogue, do you want him to learn more new tactics of stealing and deceit, so that when he graduates, he uses his newly acquired knowledge to steal, deceive and encourage others to follow suit?
Romans 2:1:-Therefore thou art inexcusable, O man, whosoever thou art that judgest: for wherein thou judgest another, thou condemnest thyself; for thou that judgest doest the same things.
You sit down to judge others. Are you saved? You contend that you do not fear any person, and so impute sins on others and even declare openly that you do not like certain persons because they steal and tell lies. Do you know that by your action, you have condemned yourself?
That is why I teach you not to find fault with any person or impute sins on any person, not to utter evil communications against anyone because whatever you do or say, stands as judgment against you. Having known that it is sinful to steal or fornicate or commit any other vice, what is the wisdom in your indulging in them? Are you a dog, licking what you vomit? Every time you confess the same sins without making an effort to forsake them. When will you be ashamed of your persisting in these vices?
Romans 2:9:-Tribulation and anguish, upon every soul of man that doeth evil, of the Jew first, and also of the Gentile;
Notice that as soon as you are baptized into Brotherhood, you are set free from all worldly encumbrances. That is why you walk boldly and majestically without fear of anything; because the world has seen his truth. But the trouble of the world is that once they embrace Brotherhood their glory and kingship will be alienated from them. That they will be stripped of their wealth and positions and so they determine to go all out to wage war against it. That is why they try to confuse you when they tell you that Brotherhood is Beelzebub, it is mermaid or devil and that you are worshipping man. Is Pope or Bishop not a man? Is a soothsayer, a herbalist or a necromancer not a man? What about all the elements they worship. The trees, stores, and pieces of iron that they regard as their gods, are they not human devices? Are the secret societies like Rosicrucian, Ogboni, Freemasonry, that they so much love and adore, not headed by human beings? Their trouble is not that you worship a man, but that you have been liberated from them, they are overwhelmed with darkness; and are relegated to the background.
I do not say I am Christ or John or Moses, or Abraham or even God, I am a man but I have brought down one thing and that is truth, righteousness, love, humility, meekness, self control, mercy, joy. I do not want praises from any persons. Any day you find me frowning my face, or being fastidious; any day you find me telling lies, withdraw from Brotherhood and go away. If you find me fornicating, curse me and depart. All that I preach to you to forsake; any day you find me indulging in them, by all means, go away. I shall continue in this love. I shall continue to demonstrate this love practically to all mankind; to the whites and blacks; to the highly placed person like king, queen, president, or governor; to the poor, the sick, the lepers, the lame, the young and old alike, I do not respect or patronize or encourage sin, I hate it. What you love is what you do. If you do not love sin why do you commit it? If you hate sin you will not indulge in it. When you allege that I love sinners, do I commit sin with you? Notice how I embrace you in spite of your sins, but I have no connection with sin. But you fight with evil doers, and show yourself as a lover of evil, because to impute sin is in itself sinful. You claim you do not love sin but you abuse, quarrel and fight against others. Can you use sin to reform a sinner? Is it not good that you employ goodness to overcome evil? I bring good to you to enable me to reform you.
Galatians 6:1:-Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted.
When you beat with a stick a person caught stealing, have you not committed a fault? As a man of God, what would you do on an occasion of somebody stealing? Rather, call him; ask about his difficulties which should lead him to steal? If he is suffering from unemployment, find a job for him. Help him to overcome his shortcomings. The spirit of theft will run away from him. For instance, a boy from Afaha who came into Brotherhood some years ago was known by every person as a notorious rogue so much so that he was disowned by his parents. I knew he did that for lack of employment and so I handed him over to Pastor C.O. Akpan to find a job for him. He is now a very changed fellow. He has absolutely turned over a new leaf for his life. There are certain things which occur by accident, there are others which are learnt and acquired and there are others which are hereditary or inborn or deliberately done. That is why certain things are done with perfection due to repeated practices; but when you sense some danger you will not need somebody to advise you; you will refrain from doing it by your own volition. We always speak of leadership. It is good to be a leader, but if you are not prepared to be truthful, you are not worthy to be a leader. If I send you on an errand with N100.00 and you use N50.00 for the purpose for which the money was meant to serve, and embezzle N50.00, can you stay with me? You will dismiss yourself. I shall not dismiss you. If now you deceive yourself to serve God by remaining with me but you, at the same time, have an inclination to be intimate with every woman you see, can you definitely remain with me? Would you not run away as a result of murmuring from people against your action? Wherever a rotten thing is found, flies will swarm around it. When I see the flies I have to send you away because I shall know that you are rotten.
When any person complains that he is being hated, he is reporting himself that he is evil, because there is never any smoke without fire. Wherever the speaker is, the doer is found there with him. If you were to walk uprightly, no person would have spoken against you, and no person would have hated you. Who can keep a cooked food for long for another person? Never you say that since you are with the Leader or in Brotherhood you should steal and fornicate and I should cover you up. No. I have no business there. Even if you are slapped or beaten with a stick I shall pass my own way. On the other hand, if a fornicator or a thief is going about his trade and you go to interfere with him, you have become entangled in that sin. The only panacea to your illness, the only wealth I give you is that you should have no share in sinfulness. If you have fellowship with sin, since I have no such fellowship, we shall be operating on different wave-lengths.
Romans 6: 10-13:-
For in that he died, he died unto sin once: but in that he liveth, he liveth unto God. Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord. Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof. Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God.
Right from the day you were baptized and your sins were washed away when your debt record was destroyed, you have no right to go back to sin. Since you had denied every thing at your baptism, you should live unto God, you should lead a life of righteousness, of truth, of love of humility and of patience. This is not the Church denominations where you continued to confess the same sins each time you appear before your Reverend, so that he becomes angry and sends you to penance. Our Lord Jesus Christ died once unto sin; and since then He has nothing to do with sin.
All those who continue in sin and wait to be changed when Jesus will come back, I tell you they will never see Our Lord Jesus Christ, because He is not a party to sin.
Read Hebrews 9: 27-28:-And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgement: So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation.
