Ye are of your Father the devil, and the lust of your Father ye you will do, he was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own, for he is a liar, and the father of it. (John 8:44).

THE TRUTH OUR WATCHWORD:

What can you derive from any of the verses in the above portion? You should not expect to be spoon-fed. It is sad to note that there is no truth in almost all aspects of human endeavor. And since there is virtually no truth in the world, a truthful person is considered abnormal.

It is a general belief that unless one tells lies, he cannot succeed in the present society. But truth is our watchword in Brotherhood of the Cross and Star which is a new heaven and a new earth. Telling lies is an abomination in this kingdom. You are admonished to desist from telling lies. Some people tell lies to avert punishment. This is not the best. Be informed that there is no lie which is considered small. A lie is a lie no matter the magnitude and it is an infraction of God's injunction.

SHUN THE TELLING OF LIES:

Be truthful in your dealings with fellow men. You should own up your fault. Apologise when necessary. Do not conceal your wrongdoings. Be plain and straightforward. Above all shun the telling of lies. Read what the scripture has to say about liars:

Appraise yourself whether you have not told lies in one way or the other. If you are prone to telling lies, it means you are an offshoot of Satan. Be informed that the telling of lies is Satan's attribute. The devil is negative in nature and he can distract you from the truth.

Satan moves with intrigues, likes to mislead the would-be heirs of God's kingdom. Satan campaigns against Brotherhood of the Cross and Star.

SATAN IS A LIAR:

SATAN WOULD PROMISE YOU WHAT WILL NOT MATERIALISE. You can only overcome Satan when you are not interested in mundane things. Should you practise the teachings of Brotherhood of the Cross and Star, you would never be a victim of Satan's deceit.

I ADMONISH YOU TO STRIVE TO PRACTISE THE WORDS OF GOD BECAUSE THEY ARE MORE IMPORTANT THAN ANY MATERIAL WEALTH,AND YOU CANNOT OWN ANYTHING EXCEPT GOD GIVES IT TO YOU.

"And he said, therefore said I unto you, that no man can come unto me, except it were given unto him of my Father." (John 6:65)

PURGE YOURSELF:

How many of you come to Brotherhood of the Cross and Star to receive the truth? You come here because of your numerous problems. You should know that truth, love, peace, patience and life are the attributes of God and they are found in Brotherhood of the Cross and Star. You are taught how to live a good life in order to enjoy the good things of the kingdom." Where putting away

lying, speak every man truth with his neighbor: for we are members one of another. Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath: Neither give place to the devil.

The above Bible excerpt admonishes you to shun hatred.

Accept everyone as your brother. If someone offends you, you should not pretend, rather let the person know his fault. Purge yourself of all impurities. You should not begrudge anyone. You should not curse, be courteous.

You should not give room for any negative thoughts in your mind and make sure that you discard all the bad habits that you have. The bible says:" Neither give place to the devil. Let him that stole, steal no more; but rather let him labor, working with his hands the thing which is good, that he may have to give to him that needeth." (Ephesians 4:27-28).

FEND FOR YOURSELF:

Everybody should try his/her hands on any legitimate venture for his/her livelihood. This will put a stop to begging which is ignoble in christanity. It is said "the devil finds job for idle minds." You must therefore engage your minds productively. It is only through this way that you can help yourself as well as others. Since we are one flesh with God, we should not disgrace Him by our actions.

"Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying that it may minister grace unto the hearers. And grieve not the Holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption." (Ephesians 4:29-30)

The children of God in this kingdom must adhere to this advice so that they can live in peace. You should guard against making unwholesome and destructive utterances, no matter the degree of provocation. Always utter the words that are positive and will bring glory to God, because whatever comes out of your mouth will be used to judge you. This advice is for this generation and the generation yet unborn. This is the way you have to behave in this kingdom. When good words proceed from your mouth, you will have good things. This is the covenant between man and God. Imagine a world without anger in man.

ESCHEW ANGER AND BITTERNESS:

If you use your hand to fend for yourself and also discard unwholesome utterances, you will no longer blame the Holy Spirit for your mishap. This done, you will be in paradise on earth.

MOST OF YOU STILL BELIEVE THAT THERE IS A PLACE CALLED HEAVEN WHICH YOU WILL BE TAKEN TO AFTER LIFE. IF MAN CAN REFRAIN FROM SINS AND LIVE HAPPILY WITH HIS NEIGHBOR, IT MEANS HE IS IN HEAVEN.

Some people think that the bible was written for the Hebrews, Gallatians and for Timothy. This is incorrect. The Bible is written for everybody, hence it is called the Book of Life. No person should think evil against a fellow being. Your anger should not last long. Be informed that everyone on earth is a blood relation. Human beings are prone to offending each other, they should also be prone to forgiveness. For to err is human and to forgive is divine.

Always speak only the words which can strengthen the faith of others and which can bring love, peace and good health. If man can stop uttering evil words against his brother and develop the spirit of good neighborliness, the earth will be a better place to stay on. Our utterances are the bane of the whole world today. If man is acquainted with the words of God and he puts them into practise, then the world will be free of problems.

PANACEA FOR WORLD'S PROBLEMS:

When the Holy Spirit admonishes you not to eat meat and fish, and not to be annoyed or tell lies, you must endeavor to practise these injunctions, else you would be courting the Holy Spirit's wrath. Read about God's panacea for the world:

" Let all bitterness and wrath and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you with all malice. And be ye kind one to another, tender hearted, forgiving one another, even as God, for Christ's sake, hath forgiven you." (Ephesians 4:31-32)

It is the place of the children of God to go close to God, show remorse, listen to His words, and practise them. This singular act will redress the world's problems. Have you not offended the Holy Spirit by telling lies, fornicating, among other ignoble acts. These are not sanctioned in this kingdom.

EMBRACE THE GOOD IDEALS OF THE KINGDOM:

What is the point in attending Bible Class everyday without practising what you learn? Know that the Bible was written as a guide for better living. The Bible if followed will put an end to sins which derailed our forefathers. You should practise truthfulness, love, peace, and discard unwholesome acts. This is the essence of Bible Class. Do away with idleness, gossiping, backbiting, among other idle acts. Try to do what pleases the Holy Spirit. Let your wholesome behaviors speak for you as a child of God.

THE GIST OF THIS LECTURE:

The gist of this lecture is to discard unwholesome acts and to cultivate truthfulness in all your dealings. As such, you must practise this lecture, and the time is now. This lecture's theme is summed up in this excerpt:

Wherefore casting away lying, speak every man truth with his neighbor; for we are members one of another.

BCS IS THE DOER OF GOD'S WORDS:

Members of the Brotherhood of the Cross and Star are not only preachers but also the doers. Therefore, from now on, whoever steals, fornicates, curses, or begrudges or hates should refrain from such acts. REFRAINING FROM EVIL ACTS HAS NO ADVERSE EFFECTS ON YOU, RATHER YOU HAVE A LOT OF BENEFITS AND SPIRITUAL UPLIFTMENT. It is our duty to abide by the scripture, because the kingdom of this world has become the kingdom of God and His Christ. When you tell lies, it means your spirit is in trouble and when you steal, you are covered with darkness. And the moment you hate one another or get drunk, the Holy Spirit departs from you and you are in darkness.

"But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and he need not that any man teach you; but as the same anointing teacheth you all things, and is truth and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him." (1 John 2:27)
